Magic Kingdom - Where Dreams Come True

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Our 3rd day in not-so-sunny Florida found us back at the Magic Kingdom...We didn't keep a schedule per se, but we did try and visit the parks based on the Extra Magic Hours and what sorts of special events they had going on on any particular day...
it was dreary when we left the hotel...but as soon as we arrived at Magic Kingdom...
grrrrr -
but he didn't mind...

And neither did she really ~

And there really are quite a few things to do at the Disney Parks indoors when it's raining - like taking in more 3D shows!

And the rain did stop around lunchtime and allow the show to go on!

And we waited patiently for all of our favorites to come by and be up close and personal...

And we weren't disappointed...

And the best part of visiting the Disney World Parks in the 'value season' in the rain...

Check out the lines! Oh wait...we RARELY" encountered any...As you can see from the pic below...we were able to get on rides such as It's a Small World over and over and over again - which was pretty darn cool -especially since a certain little 4 year old girl we know was certain that the Small World attraction was an American Doll haven!

We were soo proud of her on this trip - a little girl who over the last several months has become extremely introverted and on the *cautious* side - she braved ride after ride after ride...
Like teacups and flying carpets...
Including the frightening Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! (Though just once was enough for her - and Daddy and D were able to go on it several more times while she and I did other stuff...the boys also rode the Roller Coaster in Mickey's Toontown Fair - his first roller coaster ever! He liked it, but told me it was scary!!)
Our kids loooove Captain Jack Sparrow ~
We met Woody & Jesse

And we enjoyed a boat ride/jungle cruise

Which was a little on the loud side for her...waterfalls, water shooting elephants, etc

But the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, which we had mostly to ourselves - we enjoyed going up and down and up and down and up and down and...well, you get the idea ~
My hubs and my children have never seen the movie the Swiss Family Robinson - can you believe it?
I'm going to have to hunt down an old VCR tape and have a movie night!

And at the end of the day - I'm not sure who was more glad for it to be over...

The dad who kept having little fingers stuck into his ears...

Or the kid who ran out of gas...
And before you go...a 15 second video clip of our little boy mimicking the crazy birds that grace the eating areas of Disney...pretty comical...
